Studio suits wanted something “current.” Mike Myers fought for Queen’s operatic chaos, threatened to walk, and then shot the scene until everyone’s vertebrae filed HR complaints. The AMC Pacer—aka the Mirthmobile—turned into a clown car for headbanging history. Queen sales spiked, humanity rejoiced, chiropractors retired early.
Product placement so blatant it becomes art
“It’s like people only do things because they get paid, and that’s just really sad.” Wayne says this while bathing in Pepsi, Reebok, and Pizza Hut. The meta joke aged like wine; modern influencers are still playing catch-up.

Music-store gag. Two words, one sign, a thousand guitar clerks with PTSD. Every beginner knows three riffs; this joke vaporizes one of them and every music nerd cackles.
